| Springbank Distillery is still owned by the descendants of its founder, and is one of only a handful of privately owned distilleries remaining in Scotland. It produces a malt whisky that is acknowledged to be among the finest.
Most unusually, Springbank has three stills and employs a form of triple distillation.
The distillery is one of only two in Scotland that bottle their whiskies at source (the other being Glenfiddich).
