Sophie joined the Ardnamurchan Distillery team in February 2014 – after visiting Ardnamurchan every summer for several years, she decided to make it her home. She previously studied Design at DeMontford University in Leicester, and has helped with set up process of our beautiful visitor centre. Sophie has worked in many different sides of the hospitality industry and is really looking forward to being part of this adventure and watching it go from strength to strength.
Connal has recently returned home to the Highlands after spending the last 6 years living and working in New Zealand. Connal has a wealth of experience in a wide range of hospitality roles worldwide, latterly working for Whisky Galore in Christchurch.
Connal joined Adelphi in July 2018 and is looking forward to his new venture as Group Sales Manager. He can be found in either Inverness, Ardnamurchan, Adelphi HQ in Fife or in an airport somewhere across the world.
Nicky joined the production team in October 2014 after four years as a shepherd on the Ardnamurchan Estate. Originally from Glasgow, Nicky managed a successful bar gaining qualifications from the ‘Wine and Spirit Education Trust’. He moved to Ardnamurchan five years ago to enjoy the quiet lifestyle and is looking forward to his future experiences in the Scotch whisky industry.
Scott, originally from Johnstone, moved to Kilchoan with his wife in 2015, seeing it as an ideal environment to bring up their young family. He previously spent 8 years working in the Telecoms industry in Glasgow, with a background in IT support. Having developed a keen interest in the whisky industry, Scott looks forward to improving his knowledge of the production process and really enjoys working with the close team at the distillery.
Stewart is new to whisky distilling having spent most of his working life in the construction industry. He is an avid reader and collector of Scottish history books. He also enjoys football and travels the world with the ‘Tartan Army’ following the highs and lows of our national team!
DJ is a local of Ardnamurchan and started working at the Ardnamurchan Distillery in early 2018. Although he is new to the whisky industry, he has enjoyed learning about how whisky production works and looks forward to developing his knowledge further.
Ricky moved to Ardnamurchan over 8 years ago and has had a varied career in the area over that time. Now a seasoned tour guide at the distillery, Ricky also works in the ever expanding warehouse on site. He is relishing the chance to learn new skills and help play his part in the establishing of this new whisky venture.
Julie is originally from Edinburgh and has an extensive background in Customer Services. She joined the Visitor Centre Team in May 2018 and enjoys sharing her passion and enthusiasm for Scotch whisky with our visitors who come from all over the world. In her spare time she enjoys travelling, crafts and walking her dogs.
Ally has strong family ties to West Ardnamurchan and has previously worked on the local fish farm. He is happy to be back in the area to raise his young family. He is new to the whisky industry and is enjoying learning a raft of new skills.
